Every time I have come here I have ordered the yellow Thai curry and it has tasted amazing and creamy each time! Beef curry also very tasty! Recommend for anyone to go here 🙂
They need to look up crispy in the dictionary & invest in heating. Cause I froze my butt off & my pork belly was not even in the realm of crispy. The flavours were however really really good, so they have that in their side. It was busy & I think they may have been focused on pumping out the food rather than making my pork edible and good.

Found Fat Monk on a whim and was very happy we did. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and staff were really friendly and knew the menu well.
Shout out to the amazing menu and dish name puns. So funny.
Overall the Food was really, really delicious and presentation made the food very appetising. We started with the pumpkin and Parmesan wontons (fried) and they were incredible and also the stuffed squid which was nice.
We got three dishes- soft shell crab curry, red curry stir fry and a twice cooked pork belly stir fry all of which were amazing.
Only downfall was the service was a little slow (not that it mattered as we were chatting!) but they acknowledged this as the docket system was down (as Ive worked in hospitality I know how much of a nightmare this would have been!) so I couldn’t fault that too much.
I Highly recommend Fat Monk and they’ll be seeing us there again for sure. Next time I’ll take some photos!
Have eaten at Fat Monk twice and both times had an enjoyable experience. The second visit the meals did come out a bit slow ( one of our friends had nearly finished eating when the last meal arrived) but apart from that the service was good and food yummy.
Grabbed ourselves some UberEats the other night when we couldn’t be bothered cooking. The order came and was still hot when we were cracked open the lids! We had two serves of Pad Thai with coconut rice. There definitely needed to be more flavour in the main dish and more care with the veggies, but overall a good dish to have on the couch. I’ll give it a miss as a dine in though
First time eating at Fat Monk tonight with a friend. Waiter got our order wrong and we’ve both ended up feeling sick and the runs. Will never go back
Great location for overflow from Mr Miyagi. Service is friendly if not a bit green. The vases on the tables do not value add – too big with ugly foliage. We ran out of room to put the plates. If you check in on Facebook you get free spring rolls, which we did not do. All the flavours were ok, but not Jinda quality. Nice place for a quick bite when you’re not keen to wait 1:45hours for Mr Miyagi and have done Hawker Hall too many times.
