It was a 45min wait for a table and it seems people were willing to wait. We opted for a table outside. Great service here. Had a dedicated waiter here which customised the ‘feed me’ to all our dietary requirements. Some great food and flavours came out of the kitchen. Well worth the money

The curry for the roti is good, especially the peanut sauce. Bbq chicken was flavourful but a little on the salty side. Char kuew tiaw is spot on with the Chinese sausage and the peppery sensation, reminds me of Penang.

Loved the food at Hawker Hall. Theres always a bit of a wait so book if you can and still expect a short wait. Great service and a menu thatll make it hard to choose. Full of flavour duck, roast pork, Malay coconut beef rendang and rice. Just go there. Try for yourself. Order as much as you can.

Hawker Hall was certainly a unique experience, bringing in elements of Asian street vendors in both its design and food. My partner and I ordered the Chicken Tikka, Beef Rendang and Roti Canai with sauce. The Roti Canai was a good start to the night – soaking up the flavours of the sauce, it was simple and done right. Next up, the Chicken Tikka- something that we were curious to try, to see how it would compare to our favourite chicken tikka Masala that we usually order at other restaurants. The tenderness of the chicken was spot on, however the rest of the dish was rather average. Well probably stick to Chicken tikka Masala next time.
The Beef Rendang didnt quite win us over either with its prominent anchovy taste. The place was absolutely bustling which suggested that we may have ordered the wrong things or perhaps should have perused Hawker Halls extensive drinks menu. Either way, come try Hawker Hall if brave new twists to some Asian classics is what youre after.

Hawker hall provided great service, comfortable atmosphere and fantastic food. I couldnt give them anything less than 5 stars. Great for any occasion, we did the feed me deal and it was fantastic value for money. There cocktails are amazing as well. I will definitely be going back for more.

Great atmosphere and great food. We began with drinks. I had the peach fuzz which was delicious but not particularly strong. We shared the beef rendang, duck curry and roti canai. All dishes were authentic and tasty and the two dishes were a good size for two people to share.

    4.5.

Twosheds has been anticipating a visit to Hawker Hall, as it came highly recommended by close friends. Expectations were high as we had dined at sister restaurant, Chin Chin, on a number of previous occasions. The high expectations were warranted. The vibe here is fantastic. Seriously expensive industrial chic fitout and great low key, old school house and pop music pumps out to a 25-32 something crowd. Make no mistake, this placed is packed every night for dinner (if you want no queue, come for lunch). The food arrives quickly. And service is fast, attentive, friendly and efficient.

We dined on dumplings to start, which are fusion Asian, as is the case across menu. All the Malaysian, Chinese and pan Asian classics are brought to the fore here. The pork and chive wonton with chilli and black bean were a serious highlight, with the astringent black bean setting off the delicate fat in the pork meat. Spring rolls are delicately filled and fried with the best ingredients. The throughput of the kitchen, and quality emanating from it, is astounding given the size of the place. Small details are apparent though such as green chilli in the lovely soy. The char Kway Teow is faithful to its Malaysian roots, but has a special freshness through use of more sprouts which was quite enticing.

As the food arrived, the music from the DJ spinning discs got better and better (more 80s). Next to arrive were the Malaysian-style chicken skewers. The peanut sauce is more peanut than sauce here: super stuff. Ill refrain from later dishes but suffice to say, they were as good as the earlier ones.

The Twosheds gang ordered from the wine off the tap menu here for drinks, which is great value. We drank a Riesling/Grigio blend and a Pinot, which arrived in carafes. The wines on the drinks list proper are a bit pricey. You must give this place a try.
