Just when you thought Chapel Street couldnt get any hotter, RocoMamas comes to town with their famous Smashed burgers and grill.
The cutting-edge team at RocoMamas are a different burger breed. They roll up each burger patty into a ball and smash them flat onto the grill, sealing in maximum flavour and juiciness.
The BlackStar burger is the dark horse of the family, featuring crispy southern fried chicken, Hanoi slaw and sweet chilli mayo nestled in a charcoal bun. Mac and cheese aficionados MUST try the Promo burger, starring a macaroni cheese croquette and beef patty, lathered in parmigiana sauce. You can even customise your masterpiece by building your own burger with a clever checklist. Double patty? Tick. More cheese? Always.
Flaunting a rocknroll vibe, Rocomamas is housed in an industrial shipping container with high polished concrete walls, neon lighting, corrugated metal touches and commissioned street art by Sabine Kahwati. Grab one of the cute booths as you watch your meal being prepared in the open kitchen and bar. It doesnt get more authentic than that.
But wait, theres more! Prepare to get down and dirty with RocoMamas seriously messy ribs (pork, beef and lamb), as well as their MOFO chicken wings. Paired with some loaded fries and a custard shake, youve got a feast fit for a king! The Cheese Bombs are also just that BOMB AF. Read: fried cheese balls filled with chilli, feta or jalapenos. Take all my money.

What a protein and cheese filled feast Rocomamas has to offer! Tried the following:
– Mother of all ribs (pork) with bbq glaze: delicious, nice smokiness, was not ‘falling off the bone’ but characteristic of an exceptional pork rib;
– Chips with aioli sauce: two words; dat crunch. My tick of approval is filed with these deliciously salty chiperoons;
– Classic cheese beef smash burger: super fresh bun and salad. Similar to a Hungry Jack’s whopper style burger in all the best possible ways. Tasty patty. Loved that the burger was balanced enough so that sauce wasn’t streaming down my elbows;
– Jalapeno cheese bombs: recommended! Fried cheese ball with spicy jalapeno goodness, how is that not a great idea? Sauce to accompany is a match made in heaven.
Surprisingly I left feeling pretty good and not overstuffed which I was pleasantly surprised by.
Very keen to come back, and would definitely recommend Rocomamas. Great work guys!
Set in the heart of Chapel Street, Windsor, this modern restaurant has it’s signature dishes of burgers and American styled BBQ ribs and wings. With the choices of sauces, heat level with their meats and the options to customise layers of burgers, they cater for customers’ broad variety of tastes. It’s tender meats, soft and juicy burgers and crispy chips, there’s a simply down-to-earth feel upon each bite. Served by friendly and helpful staff within a comfortable, spacious and modern ambiance, Rocomamas does well for a casual meal.
This place is amazing!! The burgers were great however the buns are too dense and heavy, especially the black bun. My favourites were definitely the sides. I loved the beer battered onion rings, Mac & cheese pucks and pork ribs! The pork ribs were so flavoursome and tender. This interior is set out to be like the American diner vibes and service was attentive. Would love to come back to try more

Ribs – Amaze! My new local favourite and as close to Hurricanes (NSW) as I have been able to find in VIC.
Mac n’ Cheese pucks – so tasty and indulgent! The dipping sauce was delicious!
Cheese Bombs – little delightful morsels of gooey cheese
Old Skool Smash Burger – yummy flame grilled smokiness
Flavour X Chicken Wings – slightly tangy, slightly spicy, not bad but I much prefer their other offerings.
Chips – perfectly seasoned
Service was fast and super friendly.

My partner and I had a lazy night in and ordered in, delivery was within a reasonable time frame.
We ordered the Classic Cheese burger, pork ribs and chips which were all really good. The ribs were melt in your mouth and very finger licking good!
Sorry no pics of the chips as we were starving and devoured them straight away!
Highly recommend and will be back.
Absolutely loved this place!! Such good service and food!! The food was on the pricey side but tasted amazing. The fried chicken was incredible and the cheese sauce was next level on the burger. Everything about this place was good. Definitely recommend it highly!!
