Absolutely wouldnt recommend. I was the only person in the shop, not busy in the slightest and they somehow managed to forget prawns, calamari and dim sims when i watched them write the order down. Chips were soggy as they pulled them out 10 minutes before the grilled fish was even done (it took 30 mins for the order wtf? and they couldnt even line the grilled fish up with the chips). I watched them slather the grilled fish with oil 4 times and it was oilier than fried fish. They dont grasp the concept of fish and chips at all and avoid this business at all costs unless you feel like having the worst fish and chips ever, and in that case you should go but I feel sorry for you.

This is like those old school 90s fish and chips joints. It has pretty much no where to sit so you have to take away. The jap woman runs the place and is not really one for customer service.

You just tell her straight what you want. If you want chicken salt, you will need to double check she got it right. She puts the chips in, the fish on top, then puts salt so some chips get missed. If you want to swap a dim sim, for a potato cake thats too bad.

Get a fish pack with flake for around $10. This is the best fish and chips you can find in the area. No joke. Its also cheaper too. Beats all the other fish and chip places all the way past Fitzroy Street. It comes very crispy and a good portion.

There was the biggest block of lard I have ever seen in the sink. Not sure how it is used since I thought the fish is deep fried in oil.
