Had breakfast here & I ordered the French toast with berry compot which was very yummy & I also ordered the chefs omelette which was a generous serving but lacked the sufficient amount of toast to accompany it. This place was humble and welcoming. But you have to walk up and order your food at the counter & prepay as well which is the only let down of this place.
The schnitzel burger was amazing and they have great coffee. Everything is freshly made and sitting outside in the sun surrounded by lemon trees with a pleasant ambiance makes this place great. Strongly recommended!

Lovely little cafe. We ordered 2 toasties, an egg sandwich, a flourless chocolate cake and a cherry ripe slice. The toasties and sandwich were filling and wholesome. The chocolate cake was gone before I could photograph it, a delicious treat, as was the cherry ripe slice. The furniture was retro/rustic, they seated inside and out. Inside the cafe local goods were displayed for sale. The staff, although they were not unkind, showed more friendliness to the locals. Coffee was brilliant (Merlo beans) Overall it was a perfect lunch stop on our road trip 🙂
Stopped in for a road trip lunch break. We chose it based on good reviews and it was a good call. The cafe is in a charming old building just a minute out of town, with lots of parking. Retro/rustic decor, indoor and outdoor seating. It was late afternoon so there weren’t a lot of food options but the sandwich and toasties we had were delicious. There’s a yummy range of sweets, the flourless chocolate cake is divine. Great coffee (Merlo) and clearly the staff know the locals as there were plenty of people popping in on a dreary winter’s afternoon for a coffee and a chat.
