Very poor experience, won’t be returning. Rude staff, horrible food, and waited over an hour for entree of garlic bread to be served. Meal was sent back to be reheated, returned 20 mins later cold again.

Great decor, very poor service and very poor meals. 1 out of our 6 meals were enjoyable. 2 had to be sent back. Staff acted like they didn’t want to be there, bar staff eating KFC whilst pouring drinks was very unprofessional.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’e ever encountered. We stood in the foyer waiting for 10 minutes, no obvious sign it was a ‘ make your way through to the bistro and seat yourself’ restaurant. We eventually made our way in and found a table. The table by the fire was nice and warm on a cold, miserable night. The security staff were very rude and came across rather arrogant at the fact that we had to wander around to find a rest room as there were no bar staff to direct us.We read the menu and between the 5 of us decided on, Chicken Caesar Salad, Sweet and Sour Pork, Barramundi, Beer Battered Fish and Chips and the Roast of the Day (Lamb) and vegies. Now, I’m Tolerant of waiting in a busy restaurant on a busy night, but an 80 minute wait, when we were originally the 3rd table of patrons to sit down is too much. 80 odd minutes later we received our meals. My roast lamb, although tender was cold. My pumpkin was so cooked it was borderline liquid, and the rest of my vegies required a steak knife to manage the cut as they were so under cooked. Gravy was tasty. My fiancé’s barramundi had no flavor, other than mud. My father in law, (a professional fisherman of 40 years) was convinced it had to be carp, or a barramundi substitute, caught from a dirty farm. Her chips were edible. My brother in law’s beer battered fish was enjoyable, as were his chips. My mother in law’s Caesar salad was almost sent back. The lettuce was shriveled up and resembled lettuce out of a Big-Mac, the chicken was drier than a desert storm and Caesar dressing resembled plain whole egg mayonnaise. My father in law’s sweet and sour pork was returned twice, first time the pork was raw in the middle. Second time the sauce was so over-powering with sugar it ruined the meal. Upon being offered a 3rd replacement we opted to go elsewhere. We ended up staying to have our dessert that we’d payed for. Our plates were cleared 40 mins after our meals were finished. We then had to ask a waiter if we could have our dessert, at which we were denied as they were bar staff and we had to go back up to the counter and ask if our desserts could be served. 20 minutes later our pavlova arrived. The pavlova for dessert was a pile of cream whipped cream, topped with a strawberry and passion fruit sauce. After being served this we got straight up and left. I hate to leave such a negative review but It would take a lot of convincing for me to go back. Wasn’t a great start to our holiday.
