Surprisingly good Indian food!. Had a very good meal ( particularly the house-made samosas, the tandoori lamb and the lemon rice (basmati, mustard seeds, curry leaves, lemon juice and peanuts)) and nice people running it. Yes, it’s odd that the same kitchen does Italian meals too, but don’t let that put you off – it’s a fairly small town and that can mean people have to cover a few more bases. Based on the quality of their Indian food, I reckon they could hold their heads up high in Melbourne and I am just glad to have discovered this place here!
Went there on a Saturday night having just come into the town on holidays. The service was lovely and friendly.However, a dampener on the whole experience was when we got up to pay the bill. We had each had a beer, 2 mains and a serving of roti bread and the total bill came to $70, something I wasn’t expecting for a small-town restaurant laid out like a cafeteria. The mains tasted wonderful, but were very small portions. For example I had the lamb butter masala and got 3 pieces of lamb. It just wasn’t value for money at all.
