A quaint little place with beautiful trees. We sat under a blossom tree but it’s right on the freeway so I could hear the noisy cars & smell the diesel from the trucks speeding by. I had pumpkin and spinach quiche with garden salad which was ok but I suspect it was made with powdered eggs as I make quiche myself and it’s different with fresh eggs. The vegetable pastry was nice with tomato chutney and quinoa salad. It’s s tourist spot so expected better quality food as it was more like what you’d find out in the country 20 years ago.

Uninviting, Unwelcoming.. The outside of this place looks nice and inviting, but the inside is grey, drab, uninspired. The tables are all bog-standard plastic and steel, chairs match, the lighting is dark and shadowing, the walls grey and uninviting. Didn’t really match the whole organic garden thing they seem to be going for. Sitting outside might have been nicer but the weather was so windy it wasn’t an option. Down the back there’s a section which was a bit confusing, there are wood benches and a coffee table, a child’s table for drawing, some kids’ books, but also a lot of shelves of stock for sale (local honey, jam, etc) and the wait station as well, so you sort of end up perusing the wait station by accident. Also the manager seems to have set his office up right in the middle of that area, which is a bit off-putting. I wanted to read to my kid but the manager was working on his laptop at his desk (at least I think he was the manager), and I felt bad, like I would be interrupting him. So we stayed quiet as we could be, stared at his back awkwardly and after a while we left. The lady serving at the front was not very welcoming either, just told us to sit anywhere and come back to the counter when we want to order, then left. I just wanted coffee, so I had to stand there for ages and wait for her to come back. There were only two other customers when we were there, and they looked very bored and uncomfortable. I think they were jealous we had the only decent seats in the cafe. There was no music either, so they were stuck at a cruddy table on cruddy chairs in a dark grey room in silence. No flowers or anything on the tables either to make them seem warm. The whole place is so COLD looking. Whoever designed this place had no idea what they were doing. Garden outside was also disappointing. Nothing interesting, most things gone to seed or beds empty. No innovations to learn from. Really big waste of time, would not recommend, nor will I go back.

A very quaint place where we enjoyed coffee and muffins for morning tea. Staff were very friendly and provided very good service. Take time to look at displays and the community garden behind the cafe. We appreciated the very clean toilets!
