Durian cake topped with beautiful meringue. Sponge cake was delicious but durian flavour could have been much stronger. Overall a little too sweet
Long time customer and have tried most of their cakes. Favourite is the pear and the matcha cake. It is a bit different from traditional Western cakes but the flavour is still really nice and they are always happy to do requests for birthdays. I find the service to be really good (not sure what everyone else is talking about?). They moved spots on Canning Hwy so I parked around the corner outside Hayashi Japanese restaurant and when I went into the shop the lady was kind enough to tell me they had parking right behind the shop for next time.

I had never been to this cake store previously due to reading somepoor reviews, however after a friend had an amazing cake by this store at her daughters party, I decided to try it out and ordered a birthday cake for by daughters 4th birthday. We ordered the vanilla sponge with custard, with a cream icing.After now seeing and tasting both cakes (the other party hada vanilla sponge with custard and mango, with a marzipan decorative topping), I would definitely recommend Cakes Delight. The cake was decorated beautifully and just as expected. The kids loved the cake, we had lots of positive comments from the adults tooand people came back for seconds.The cake was light and not overly sweet. Will definitely use this store again.

Consistantly good cakes. For quite a number of years our immediate and extended family purchase sponge cakes from Cakes Delight for Birthdays and special occasions. That equals allot of cakes each year.There is one main reason for this and that is the cakes are consistently good and kept to the same standards. i.e. A green tea cake purchase three years ago I’ll know will be of the same quality if I was to buy one today.Just don’t expect warm service from the owners they are not so great at that.It’s quite clear to me that they spend all their time focusing on making consistently good cakes, than trying to make any customers feel warm and fussy.When it comes to cakes that suits me perfectly fine.
Terrible customer service! First time visiting the shop and was gonna order a cake and asked around about the different flavours, but after the rudeeeeee service, we left the store AND WON’T BE BACK. Ps: We tried the smaller cakes, they taste so bland. Nothing special at all. Bad customer service + so-so cake = NOT RECOMMENDED… enjoyingodsblessing.wordpress.com
