Early morning pop in just after the doors opened and it smelt great. I think I was too early as only one cabinet was full of stock. Grabbed two almond croissants and two chocolate ones. The chocolate croissant was crispy and had good size to it nice and light. The almond one looked to have seen better days, tasted doughy and they just don’t look inviting being squashed like they were. Food was ok but won’t buy again

Ardross street in Applecross is a new experience for me, and being early to have brekkie with my sister, I decided to explore, and stumbled across the cutest French patisserie tucked away. Stepping inside I felt Id remerged in France and was immediately drawn towards the display cabinet of delectable looking sweets. There was also some bread, but limited selection probably because most of it had already been purchased. How to choose the sweets- the selection looked amazing, so I just went with a random selection of three with a plan to come back soon to go through the others perhaps with coffee at one of their Parisian caf tables. Service was friendly, and the French accent, makes it truly authentic experience. The lady packed the three items nicely into a white box. I went with an almond slice, chocolate mousse and a chocolate layered cake. The mousse was truly special with a beautiful soft mousse and a lovely crunch from the red mini macarons. The other slices will have to wait their turn, but I am finding it hard to keep them for later. Highly recommend finding this place for your sweet treats from France.

Not a bad beef pie. Very nice filling. Pretty oily unfortunately. Almost left because I didn’t see any pies – put them out on display! 🙂

Beautiful French sweet treats perfect for a special occasion or just a little treat! Ordered a selection of pastries and cakes for our Mother’s Day morning tea and the place was buzzing! The selection is divine from mini cakes to custard filled puffs and chocolate everything. The woman in front of us ordered half the shop, but lucky they were all stocked up today. We tried a chocolate layer cake, mini carrot muffin, fancy vanilla slice, lime and coconut tart and a cream and custard puff – I wish I knew the actual names haha! Everything was fresh and so delicate. The tart was stunning, the coconut was fragrant and the zest of lime added an extra kick! The chocolate layer cake wasn’t too rich which was good as it looked very decadent. We’ll be back for sure.

I happened across this small patisserie by chance, and so glad I did! I was only going to buy a nice crusty baguette but another customer was raving about the sweet treats she had tried the day before and had rushed back to get more. I was lured in by her enthusiasm, and so glad I was! Absolutely delicious.

We came today with the family, and loved the savoury crepes with generous salad, the quiches, the fine sweet tart, and the hot chocolate and the mocha! We took home various individual cakes, as they are so tempting! We will definitely be back!! The banana tarts and napolitain cakes which are going to be our next treat, are going to be on order for the next birthday, as I love the family recipes, often enjoyed on special occasions.Thank you guys, it was a heart-warming lunch!!
