Run of the mill Chinese, I’m surprised Wing Wah still exists! The rice is alright, but I’m not too sure about any of the other dishes. The restaurant itself is very dingy and needs a freshen up. It’s quite a sad looking space.

First time eating here, I believe management has changed. Lovely little decorated place for a cheap BYO Chinese Restaurant, the food came out unbelievably quick. We had takeaway and it was piping hot when we got home. Food was delicious, not too greasy like some Chinese places, had chow mein, special fried rice, and sweet n sour combination. Definitely got value for money. We’ll be back.

Great food and service. We went to Wing Wah for a family birthday . Ownership had changed since we last visited. Staff friendly and obliging from booking through to account settlement. Every course was lovely . Fresh , tasty and authentic. Highly recommended as top value and quality.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The honey chicken was poor quality, very fatty and undercooked and the sauce was slimy with hardly any taste of honey. The spring rolls tasted as if they were fried in very old oil and the Mongolian lamb was extremely salty. The fried rice was bland and the pork shreds in it had an off taste to it. The chicken in the chow mien was similar to the honey chicken. This disappointment cost us over $80. Never again.

The WingWah used to feature regularly on my family’s calendar and always went down a treat. I’m not sure if there has been a change of hand or issues with the chef, but our recent visit was disappointing. The chicken and sweet corn soup was thick, clear and bland. The chicken within it was minimal and moreso fat than meat. Several people at our table tried it and found it difficult to eat. The honey chicken was another sore point. On closer inspection, the chicken was uncooked. I didn’t want to make a fuss over the soup but had no option with sending the chicken back. The waitress was most apologetic and returned with a fresh plate. Whilst the chicken was cooked, the batter was off the mark and only a trace of honey.I don’t have high expectations, but was unavoidably disappointed with two very dismal dishes. Coupled with the fact that a small serve of plain rice was $8.50 – sadly, we won’t be returning soon.

Best Chow Mein Ever. This restaurant makes the best Cantonese Chow Mein in Perth. We usually order the combination Chow Mein which also comes with good serve of chicken, beef and prawns. The other dish they are well known for is the combination Fried Rice with dried prawns. This is not in the menu but you can ask them to do it and it is spectacular. Takes the fried rice to a different level. If you are a Bean Curd (Taufoo) person then their Oyster Sauce Bean Curd is to die for. No other place cooks it like them. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Will definitely recommend friends to go there.

Casual Wednesday night. Went on Wednesday night with my man for dinner. Good service and pretty decent food. We shared a mixed entree, all homemade, prawn toasts were delish. Mains we had Ma-po tofu and garlic chilli prawns, garlic prawns were good but the Ma-po tofu was amazeballs! A little pricey but expected with rent prices in Applecross. Will definitely go again.
