Attending dinner here on Thursday evening as my mother was staying in the hotel and had advised the service was great. The restaurant was a huge disappointment for starters I asked the waitress for water twice and on the second time she rolled her eyes. Our table of four order soup and garlic bread to start given the garlic bread was $12.00 you would assume more than two slices came out, the soup wasnt bad but lacked flavour for main we ordered the steak sandwich, chicken schnitzel and mushroom sauce and laksa. The laksa came out in a smaller bowl than the entree soup and the shredded chicken was fried dry price of chicken, while the schnitzel was burnt and dry with cold packet chips and limp salad and no mushroom sauce . I asked the waitress for mushroom sauce to which it appeared to be a hassle and I then reiceved a small drizzle of sauce. At no point throughout the meal were we asked how our meals were and at no point were we asked for dessert this place is over priced and has extremely rude and miserable staff. We wont be returning.

We went for High Tea. We also had a chat with the other patrons and all of them were very disappointed. What can one say? Dried out sandwiches (many sides not buttered), terrible toppings. Thickly cut cucumber with dried up, limp lettuce leaves. Dried up, tasteless quiches and sausage rolls. The sweets didn’t taste homemade. They could have been purchased from a cheap supermarket chain. Just terrible. The only item that tasted acceptable was the mini clair.Needless to say that we won’t be back.

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!! My wife, daughter and I had lunch there and I ordered from the day’s special menu, the mixed seafood pasta. Within one hour I had really bad stomach pains and severe diarrhea. I emailed the restaurant to let them know and advised them to take this dish of the menu. I have never had a reply or thank you for alerting them. They obviously do not care. I hop they did take this off the menu!!

We went here due to getting a groupon deal for the restaurant that seemed too good to be true ($75 two courses and wine for four people)..and sadly it was. The decor is trying very hard to be glitzy but sadly falls short. It seemed more effort was put into this then training the staff. Whilst all staff were very friendly, some small touches would have improved the experience such as pouring the first glass of water and giving us wine glasses that had been dried after coming out of the washer. As for the food, all starters were enjoyed especially the potato and chorizo dish. The mains were average and were more pub grub type options then for a nice restaurant which they are clearly trying to achieve here. Very large portions also which is good. Unlikely to return but this is also due to the fact the restaurant is not close to home.

Unusual experience. We went on a Saturday night with a scoopon voucher and we were a little nervous after reading other’s reviews. We walked through lobby area to the dining area – only to be told Scoopon voucher people were seated in a different area. The area was very sparce and there was only one other couple – so the atmosphere was bleak to say the least. The young waiter that looked after us was very efficient and friendly. We ordered the pork belly and squid for entre and they were both delicious. Then we had the pizza and fish and chips for main. The fish was ok, and the chips were good. The pizza wasa ratherdisappointing as it looked like a bought pizza base with toppings put on. We felt a little sorry for the staff having to walk such a long way through the other restaurant to get to us (perhaps why some meals have been cold??)After we had dined, we realised there were people outside and had we known – we would have eaten out there as it was a much more pleasant atmosphereSorry – but we won’t be returning in a hurry.

My partner and I had a late lunch here a couple of weeks ago on a scoopon and thought it was great so we went back for dinner last night with my parents and once again enjoyed it thoroughly.Couldn’t fault the service or the food. The wait staff were all super attentive and helpful and the food plentiful and delicious! We had pork belly, calamari, dips & Turkish bread and bruschetta entree, all fantastic!Chicken parmigiana, steak sandwich, nachos and chicken pizza for mains. The chicken pizza wasn’t the best, the base was quite soggy due to too much sauce, but still tasty. Will definitely return and continue to recommend

Found this restaurant through scoopon and thought we’d give it a go as the deal was too cheap to pass up. Have to say the food was good, especially the calamari, but we definitely got the scoopon service. None of the staff were rude but nobody seemed to really know what was going on the whole time we were there. We speculated that there may be several new staff on shift as that’s the feeling we got. On arrival we received gazes from several staff near the counter but no warm greeting. The staff member who organised our table seemed rather confused. We had 3 different waitstaff throughout the evening, only 1 seemed like he had a decent handle on things and checked up on us several times. The decor was nice but the room lacked a bit of warmth. It might be nicer when there are more people to fill it. We were seated separately to the customers without scoopons so maybe it’s a nicer atmosphere in the other part of the restaurant.
