It is disappointing when you are 2m from the kitchen and the waitstaff cant find your table to deliver your meal. We ended up with a cold, greasy, rubbery meal after chasing it up. We also got to hear the other complaints being so close to the kitchen. Nice view but that was about it.
Double booked every table in the restaurant and waited for half an hour to be seated although wed booked four weeks in advance. Received no apology and would have left for another restaurant if they didnt take your money upon entry.
We were excited to try out the advertised buffet breakfast weekend special at $15 today. Location is great, overlooking the water and a good choice of dishes on the buffet. However, the fried eggs were stone cold and the rest was luke warm. I was in fact disgusted at the filthy plates and coffee mugs. Obviously the dishwasher is not functioning properly. Such a pity as this previously well-known establishment (Ascot Inn) was an icon. A lot of improvement required to warrant a return visit.
