I bought a kilo of mussels from here a few months back, got them home and went to cook them that night. They absolutely stunk. Most were cracked or dead and got thrown out, the ones I did manage to keep and cook made me sick. Never again
Very disappointing.. My partner and I went to golden ponds on a lunch with some of my family. We ordered a chicken parma each as neither of us are really into sea food. The chicken schnitzel used in the parma was grey and clearly processed, it looked like it was from the frozen food section in Woolworths. The napoletana sauce used on top contained small amounts of chilli for some reason, something which my partner is allergic to. She started having a mild allergic reaction after eating some of it, flushed face, mild trouble breathing, puffy eyes etc. When this was brought to the attention of the wait staff and the chef they denied everything and said it must just be hot in the restaurant. No effort was made to made the situation right, and we we still charged the full $28 each for what was probably the worst chicken parma I have had anywhere. Some of the other dishes looked better than what we received, but I still wouldn’t try my luck again.
