Booked for 7pm in and out by 8pm we felt rushed in our food. We ate a starter abd 2 minutes later got our main. The fish was over priced for what we got. Not sure what the fuss is about. Not for me.
It used to be much better in terms of food portions, now it’s just another overpriced spot with average service and ordinary food. Not going there again.
Small portions, dirty decor, overpriced food. Unsympathetic staff don’t really care about the customer. Get a kebab at the deli next door, tastes better and much cheaper.
I am not a frequent diner at Steel Tree because I find their food to be expensive and quality may not exceed the expectations. However, just recently I have discovered that Steel Tree has breakfast promotions. A stack of pancakes, ice cream & maple syrup only for $5.49!! It used to be $10.99 and $2 unlimited coffee. Since they started doing the promotion I visit there more often, for the price food and coffee quality is good. I hope they keep the promotion. Breakfast at Steel Tree is cheaper than Maccas! Good value food & drink! Highly recommend to have breakfast at Steel Tree!
We’ve dined here on multiple occasions, staff are always welcoming and consistent with service. Faves are pork belly for myself and the steak for my partner. Each time, the dinners come out exactly the same, cooked to perfection, seasoned well and incredibly tasty. The pork belly is the best I’ve had in Perth. Highly recommend this place!
Have been going to Steel Tree for a number of years. Usually a hit and very few misses. However, lately the misses are becoming more regular. The Chicken Parmigiana has been either pre-cooked and left sitting warming in the oven for so long the edges are hard and dry.. This is not just the main meal, it also includes the burger. Fortunately for the other two people at the table they like it that way. Me however, ended up with grazed gums. The last time I had the steak Sanger, the meat was fat overload and bordered on being off.It seems like there’s a good Chef, bad Chef, and the bad Chef is working more regularly. This is one of our favourite meeting places but it’s not up to scratch lately. On Wednesday 12th August, even the waitress’ were too busy chatting in a huddle we had to walk up to the counter for attention. Sorry Folks, but we’re looking elsewhere for eating out. There goes 15 ladies and their families. And while I’m at it, get rid of that stinking cutlery. It’s absolutely NOT user friendly.
Haven’t been here in years and only ever been twice. From memory the food was great and above average for sure, the interior was modern and cosy, and the staff were friendly. Can’t complain!
