Very very disappointed. Staff were miserable and not welcoming at all. Overall food was okay, I had mussels and they were very good. Desert took 30+ to arrive. Basically overall the staff ruined it.
Had a reservation for 8 on Sunday for 5.45pm so it wasn’t too busy. Order put through under one number. 5 meals came out fairly quickly and were finished before the other 3 arived. Asked the waitress to check and was advised ours were nearly next. Service was average as was the food. In no hurry to return. Really disappointing.
Yummy chicken parma. 6 year old gave the cheese burger a thumbs up. Other kids enjoyed chips with aoli. Great service and good selection of beer 🙂
Very average pub food. This was to be our third attempt to get a decent feed here. We have had 2 steak sandwiches before, hardly saw the steak in the sandwich but plate full of fries!! Brought it to the attention of senior staff who said we hope to correct it next time you eat2nd time, husbands steak bleeding all over his plate and my fish cooked to within an inch of its life – again a plate full of chips to fill you up in lieu of a decent piece of meat or salad that wasn’t tipped straight out of a bag!!Tonight – last chance – nice piece of fish, average salad for me, hubby – asked for mash and veg with pie of the day , got chips and bagged salad and watery chicken pie. Again, informed waitress who stated she would raise it with chef and be back. We finished our drinks over about 15 minutes and no one returned to the table.Seriously, there may be new owners, and your other pubs may have good names but there are a lot of restaurants at baldivis shops now – Lift your game!!
Poor quality…. We have eaten at the Vernon Arms a few times but we’re unaware that the pub has changed hands…We decided to eat out tonight as it’s our Ozziversary. Disappointing doesn’t describe it.The starters were just oil and grease and the food quality cheap and nasty.The mains were equally as bad. Burnt cheap sausage with sloppy watery mash.Shepherds pie that was just water, my daughter left the whole thing.My husbands plate was just swimming in grease from the fish..The service was good and the staff polite and the pub is in a great spot but the food was a massive let down.
First of all the service was terrible as the two young man well run off there feet on Tuesday night. They were under staff. One young man that brought out our food was a polite young man but didn’t know about a drink menu as he said he worked in the kitchen. We were happy with our food once we go it. We will try the pub again hopefully next time service will have improved.
