  Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t very busy. $17.50 for a burger, chips, and a piece of fruitcake is alright. The burger was very nice. Didn’t take too long to make, and was definitely freshly made. The guy running the place was very nice. The menu had a decent amount of options, and several paleo suggestions for people so inclined. There wasn’t a lot in the cabinet, but there were a couple of looking items.

  Enjoyed a quiet meal here the other night. We were thoroughly impressed with the food, coffee, service and the lovely chats we had with the cook and the business owner. Highly recommended. Definitely will be going back.

  Very happy with the food & nice wine. Ordered a beef curry & scallopini. Nice tasting & home style. The chef was very accommodating & excellent service. Will definitely come back.

  The food at this place is good with local produce but other aspects are very disappointing. The orange juice is from a small carton which I find odd given the focus on local produce. Selection of tea is extremely limited and a simple cup of English Breakfast is not available. After paying by EFTPOS I was told there is a 4% surcharge – would have been nice to know upfront but there are no signs about this. Needless to say that it was probably my last visit here.

  Awful place, awful service, awful owner. Waited 40 minutes for two takeaway curries. The whole time we waited all we heard was the pinging sound of a microwave. At 30 minutes we asked where our food was and the ‘charismatic’ chef/owner, I totally jest swaggers out to us and tells us it will be another 4-5 minutes that they had a function on out the back, it would have been nice to have been told that when ordering as we said to him, he didn’t see a problem, pretty arrogant in fact. When the food did finally arrive my husband had a groan at the server and asked that they could sweeten the situation with a dessert or something, waiter went into a tiz and ran into kitchen to get chef, we could see them hiding discussing the drama, we turned on our heels never to return again and left them to it. As locals we really do try to support the locals but you really are doing a disservice to a newer improved bassendean dining scene. Cut your losses and close your doors. Food was average, lamb curry was tasty but a bit overpriced for takeaway. This is the fourth time I have tried here and can only describe it as something out of Fawlty Towers.

  AND they refused to refund the curry saying we ordered the wrong one. We returned it once they brought it back the 2nd time and called it chicken. It was still beef! Truly terrible food service and29 Nov, 2014Truly terrible do not go here. Ordered chicken curry, chicken and cheese toastie and burger. Waited an hour and got beef curry (returned it once and got it again!!), ham and tomato toastie and a burger. All food was cheap, supermarket burger buns no sauce virtually no sauce in the bun. Staff refused to speak to come out to me and left a poor kid on work experience to do it. Never again…

  Not worth a visit. Food is average, decor is boring, cake cabinet is dismal and looking weeks old. Service was okay but overall this place needs a serious facelift and change of direction can’t see it surviving otherwise
