Popped in for some take away coffees and take away toast as we were going on a road trip. It didn’t take long until we had our order and we’re on our way. Although upon opening the toast, our 2 serves of toast, was somehow only 3 pieces and didn’t have any butter or Vegemite on the actual toast. They gave us take away butter and Vegemite, which was random, so I looked for a knife, and there was NONE! How can you butter toast without a knife, in a car…!! This is first time I have ever ordered take away toast from a cafe and they haven’t done it all for you. Pretty poor form.
A nice spot for a decent breakfast, has the eggs Benedict, would give it a 7 out of 10, toast a bit cold, other then that an overall good experience
I’ve no clue why anyone rates this place highly. Sure it’s better than nothing in the area & when it first opened it had heart & warmth with mini-shop down the back. Last coupla years tho (I suspect change of ownership) it’s been cold & ordinary. Nothing innovative on the menu, uninspiring prepped stuff in cabinet & sweets with no health conscious options. Also don’t say you’re open til 4 if you’ve already ‘closed the kitchen’ & are actively cleaning up by 3.
We have been ordering catering from here for years for family functions and always found it to be delicious food and great value. Last night I ordered for a party and was disappointed to find that the quantity of the food was about a third of what is usually was. While the food was fine, a third of the food for the same price was a shock, and made me not have enough food for the party! In addition to which I ordered online, and put my requested pick up time as 5pm. Only when I went to check their website did I find that they in fact closed at 4. If I didn’t check, I’m not sure what they would have done? I heard they are under new management? Not sure if this is a change for the better.
All this time I thought Morley is lacking good breakfast places. Until we visit Bellisa Cafe last weekend. Venue is quite spacious, perfect for families with kids. Staffs were really friendly and helpful. Apart from usual breakfast dishes, they also have several unique ones, yeay! So we picked Pumpkin & Parmesan Waffle, Sweet Corn Fritters and Mocha for drink (Dark Star beans). I really liked the waffle. Its not crunchy type waffle, but more like soft type like MSL in North Freo. I’m not a fan of bacon (very generous, there were two of), so Hubby happily ate them all. Scrambled Egg was fluffy and seasoned well. I loved Hubby’s Sweet Corn Fritters. Fritters were pillowy. They gave a lot of Smoked Salmon too. Our coffee Mocha was well balanced. They also have kids menu (for breakfast and lunch), cook. Price was reasonable. We’ll definitely be back again.
Had a lovely soup today with 2 pieces of bread it was delicious, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere. Will come again and try out the breakfast menu.
