Has gone downhill. Salads not as nice as on previous visits, Often had insufficient cutlery and no plates available. For an hour they lost the plot. Service staff pleasant young people but there weren’t enough of them and they were overworked. Quality of mains was ok though. Would be a long time before thinking of returning here.
I haven’t been here since my teens, and wasn’t planning to except my friends decided to go to celebrate someone who used to love it – and I surprisingly have to say I was quite happy with it! The salad was fresh, and tasty with good quality – probably better than several dining experiences I’ve had in Perth! We went on Tuesday for the $19.95 deal and thought it was not bad.Although I found the lamb and barley soup to be a bit bland and one of the 10 salads was a bit soggy from being pre-dressed that was the only complaint from the savoury section. The cheese toast first round was lovely and fresh, but the second lot which we requested was cold, stale and not nice at all. The dessert on the other hand was disappointing – the cheesecake tasted like powder mix, mousse was fine and soft serve was good although the vanilla wasn’t tasty at all. The variety was excellent overall and I really liked the salad bar – nachos were good and they even have tacos now!The staff who served us were all very lovely and helpful, and seated us like we were somewhere much nicer haha. I was disappointed that one terrible family let their kids run riot and none of the many staff saw or cared that two of the kids repeatedly shoved their hands into the food buffet and I had a word with the family. I would have thought Sizzler would have learned their lesson with people inappropriately acccessing the buffet! Otherwise not bad, I’d return but not at full price.
