Alright! I was disappointed that there is no aquarium in the restaurant. False advert for sure. The food is average and overpriced. They charged $3 for a minuscule amount of red cut chilly which I think its unnecessary. The soft shell crab batter was quick thick and not very fresh. I suspect it’s been frozen for a long time. The whitebait with salted yolk was very crunchy. I cannot taste the whitebait at all. The tea was good. I enjoyed it.
Average food for a buffet, spent over $100.00 and they still charged $3.00 for a chilli most Chinese restaurants don’t. Won’t be going there ever.
7 of us had dinner there. We ordered Peking Duck 2-course. The duck skin was not thin but with thick meat so it was not flavorsome. It was not the right way to prepare Peking duck wrap. The traditional way is just have the skin. Since there were 7 of us so I ordered one more San Choi Bao but there were only 6 came out and had to tell them there was one missing. We ordered another 6 dishes. One of them was Prawn in shell in salted egg yolk but it came out as Prawn WITHOUT shell in salted egg yolk. They gave us fruit platter on the house but they didn’t clear our plates and bowls so we had the fruits on our dirty plates. The flavor was not as nice as other restaurants which we went to but the price was much dearer. They charged $3 for a TINY plate of chilli sauce!!! I gave one star for the ambience. The price does not match with the quality of the food and the service. I will not go there ever again.
We were extremely disappointed with the deal offered by this restaurant. They advertised a seafood platter for 2 people, including 2 glasses of sparking wine, a bowl of prawn crackers & fried rice, supposedly valued at $240.50!!!!!We calculated that what we received was worth considerably less than $100, let alone the advertised value. The platter consisted of:4 deep-fried battered mussels, which were tasteless & very tough, 4 small cooked scallops (warm), 4 king prawns (which were cold & we had to peel ourselves, no finger bowl provided), a prawn salad, which consisted of boiled potatoes, cubed in mayonnaise & four small peeled, tasteless prawns, half a small lobster tail, cold, dry & absolutely tasteless, deep-fried battered squid tentacles, which were very chewy & looked more like octopus, The scallops & the fried rice were the only tasty dishes. We have never previously been disappointed with offers on Cudo as they are normally honest & more than sufficient. However, this is blatant misleading advertising in order to entice customers, at your expense. We will also post a review of this restaurant. How they ever earned a Gold Plate Award baffles us.We will never return & make sure all our friends & acquaintances are aware of this also.Service was barely adequate & it was obvious staff were not very experienced. We feel that what we paid was more like FULL PRICE!!!!!Way over-priced for a Chinese restaurant.
First time here. It was busy and took a while before any waiter took drink orders. Food was overpriced. Food was ordinary and no different to any corner Chinese restaurant. You get better value at corner restaurant. Pork belly was dry & over cooked. Average experience!
Great and friendly staff, lots of different choices of food on the menu. But food is a little overpriced for its average quality like a local Chinese takeaway.
Good service, good sized portion, good food, ridic prices but luckily we paid $69 for a scoopon giving us $150 credit. The entire amount was spent by two people and this is what we got for $153.50: Satay pork, honey chicken, chilli pepper squid, wasabi fillet steak, small steam rice, one Coke Zero, one beer and one fried ice cream. The chilli pepper squid was crazy good. Batter was thin and crisp and the dish had good flavour. The wasabi fillet steak needed more kick but was still delicious. Satay pork needed to be more peanutty and honey chicken was very average. The fried ice cream was terrible, the coating was too thick. Overall I give the food 3/5 but kick it up to 3.5/5 for the service and overall value with the scoopon.
