Great ambience and the setting looks grand. A fantastic place for dimsum- good variety of dishes and very enjoyable. But dinner wasn’t as good as dimsum. Claypot chicken and tofu were pretty average, while the Squid with Salted Egg Yolk was lacking in the golden colour, crisp and flavour. Serving sizes were also a bit small-ish and didn’t quite justify the price we were paying for dinner.This place is definitely a place to return to for its dimsum, but will probably take dinner elsewhere. Service is warm and friendly.

Decided to try this place because of all the positive reviews. And I must say, Canton Lane is one of the better dim sum places that I have enjoyed. We arrived at opening time on a weekday (as j heard the line was insane on the weekends). I enjoyed the durian pastry puffs, durian mochi, chicken pie, steamed salted egg bun, and the steamed sticky rice. Delicious!!!! Wouldnt mind coming back again for more durian mochi!
We had heard good things about this new place so we tried it for lunch on a Wednesday. It was very busy but didn’t take too long to get a table. The decor is fresh and relaxing. The staff were all efficient and friendly. The shanghai dumplings were great and we enjoyed the bbq pork pies and steamed prawn and spinach dumplings. Will be returning!
There was a line of about 10 customers when we arrived. We got our number and waited for 15-20 min. We ordered fried wonton, radish cake, steamed fish balls, siu mai, har gao and crab claws. Everything was delicious and goes well with a pot of chinese tea. My fav would definately be the crab claws, give it a go when you are here. We wanted the fried squid legs as well but the lady skipped our table 2 times and we were too full to put in extra order. Would definately be back for more!
Canton Lane Belmont, Canton Bay Northbridge and 8 on the point (expensive)are the best dim sum places in Perth. Canton Lane exhibits good service, quality dim sum offerings and reasonable prices for what you get. Very popular, big queues on weekends. Recommended
Came in a big group on a weekday for lunch. Surprisingly busy for a weekday although we did get a table right away. The one we sat on was a long rectangular one which wasnt ideal for sharing dishes compared to the usual round one you find at Chinese restaurants. We had to pass dishes up and down which was annoying. Dishes were comparable (if not worse) to other dim places. Only stand outs were the baked char siu buns and garlic prawn dumplings. Will not be back. Prefer my usual spot at Wangs treasure house.
