They make a great chicken Pide. And Homus and bread is Devine. It’s also nice to be served with a smile and a gracious thank you from the server on the day.
This place is relatively new, but I was extremely disappointed with the attitude of the staff. Very rude. I ordered a kebab, I asked for egg. The server didn’t hear my order correctly, and I asked her whether it had egg at the end (because I watched her make it), she replied in a very rude tone ‘you only paid X for it, no egg’, and gave me an extremely annoyed look. Such attitude!Fair enough, she didn’t hear me- and I could have interrupted her before she started wrapping my kebab up. But I’ve worked in a kebab shop. The least she could do was acknowledge there was a misunderstanding on her part also. ‘Sorry’ goes a long way in hospitality. At the end of the day, I’m glad I didn’t get egg. They keep pre-cooked eggs in a plastic container next to the grill, to put inside kebabs as they are ordered. Who knows how long they sit there! The kebab bread was thin, definitely not made there. Plus they toasted my kebab too, which I thought was weird. With the super-thin bread, it was crunchy, almost like a taco but with less flavour. If you’re in this area and contemplating a kebab, take the drive to the Turkish Kitchen instead- those guys are miles ahead.
