Did a walk in on a weekend afternoon and it was one of the best decisions ever! They are offering $55 lunch two course meal deal or $65 for 3 course, so it’s quite worth the money to try. We had the squid for entree, it’s a generous portion to be shared too! The pasta was delicious, and so was the cone bay fish. The service was super friendly and attentive, could not find any fault at all. Superb experience would like to come back.
Dined here the other day in a large group. We had difficulty booking this place as a phone call to crown was required if it was more than 8 people (we were group of 12). When the booking was made we were made aware that only two times were available which was for 5.30pm or at 8pm and for for two hour seatings. We opted the 5.30pm option. On arrival we were shown to the table. Greeted with friendly waitstaff. Our drinks orders were taken and served promptly, and not long after, our food orderers. We had a variety from the menu. From the Starters we ordered the Grilled Fremantle octopus with romesco sauce and shaved fennel; and the Wood roasted Italian sausage with fresh goats curd, olives and wild rocket. Both dishes were pretty tasty. The octopus was cooked perfectly and wast chewy. For mains we ordered a variety from the Pasta section and were pretty satisfied with them too. We also ordered Free range chicken with braised artichokes, lemon and baby gem; and Roasted fish with silverbeet and lemon butter. He chicken tasted and reminded us of KFC (yum!!) and the roasted fish was cooked perfectly too. We didnt order many desserts as we were all pretty stuffed, but we did share a few tiramisus and pistachio ice craams between us. The tiramisu was delicious. Aside from the booking drama, a nice meal was had with great service.
