I love this place, the quality of the food is excellent. It’s quite expensive, but the food is the best I have tried. The decor is authentic and the staff are attentive. I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant.
Pretty big let down, everything was super salty and the flavors were just not that great, and when your paying top dollar you dont want Chineses food you can get for 1/4 the price down the road! Pecking duck and fried rice were good, prawns and pork ribs really salty and average.

The fact there are no dumplings available for dinner is a joke and one can only assume its because they cant charge the eye watering prices they do for everything else. Majority of the food we had was salty deep fried crap which if you went to a dirty takeaway joint in Chinatown you could not tell them apart. Highlight was the Peking duck pancakes and the Patagonian toothfish even though it said with pan fried but again… clearly deep fried. Overall an average place and thats being generous… also get some Tsingtao beers on your menu youre a Chinese restaurant.
save your money and just go to a northbridge or your local chinese restaurant! youll get much better-tasting food for half the price (or less!). went for dinner (paid for by friends for an occasion), and it was $333 for 6 dishes and a bottle of wine. that wouldve be fine if they were amazingly delicious, but they certainly were not. crispy pork belly not very crispy at all, special fried rice tasteless, and the other dishes all average. best dish was the fried squid, but for the price it really wasnt worth it at all. service was nice but again not worth how much you have to pay. definitely wont be returning no matter how special the occasion!
Very old school decor and feel to dining room. Staff took a long time to acknowledge my party at front desk, once seated we were badgered to order then seemingly we disappeared. Food was stuck in the time when we didn’t have many Asian restaurants so anything went, fortunately this is not the case now so this place is at best obsolete. The food was benign, a disappointment especially based on reputation…….
First timers at silk over the weekend, booked in advance and for some reason we got seated in the back corner when there was plenty of empty tables available, anyway obviously price is a big factor because of location and you expect the taste to also be high. Slightly disappointed with the taste of some of the dishes. Only 1 out of the 3 appetisers we ordered tasted amazing, presentation wise 5/5. Ordered 4 mains and they were all average nothing out of this world. Just a really high price tag for something you could find your local Chinese restaurant but like I said presentation was 5/5 for all dishes.i wouldnt go back.
Wonderful hospitality and service at this place. Staff always courteous and friendly. Not an extensive list of dimsum but the quality is exquisite. Great selection of seafood dishes and wine.
