User reviews. The quality of the food was great and the decor and location are wonderful. The portions were small on the Kimberly Tasting plate but the chips were fabulous. Allowing smokers in the outside area spoiled everything.
Service was excellent last night, really exceeded my expectations. Food was good, I had Kimberley tasting plate and Morton Bay bugs. Great atmosphere and decor too. A great night out overall!
We came here on our last night in Broome, and I was annoyed, as it’s the only place we would have like to have come back to! The food is better value than other restaurants/bars, and there are, thankfully, menu items that don’t have chips! Great spot! 🙂
I had checked the menu when we booked the day before and thought it looked great. When we arrived we were seated outside which was a good option because the bar was very noisy. However we found ourselves across from a table of 4 young people I can only describe as Cashed Up Bogans who had shocking manners, talked loudly and used foul language all night. I’m guessing this is pretty standard for Broome. Our share plate of rabbit terrine arrived very quickly and was okay but missing something; not sure what but it was a bit bland. The wine and food service staff were very attentive and the second course was on the table in no time. I had the eye fillet with porcini and potato gratin on cauliflower purée. I asked if there were any other veg served with it and was told no just garnish so I ordered a side of mango salad. When the meal arrived it came with a large piece broccolini so I need not have ordered the salad. The fillet was cooked correctly and very tender but the whole meal looked unappetising as everything on the plate ( except the veg) was brown incl the cauliflower and potato. I could have made this dish at home and done it better. Hubby had fish of the day with salad and also thought it was unremarkable. The mango salad i had was just a sloppy mess and I didn’t eat half. I would have like to taste the oysters but st $22 for 1/2 dozen didn’t bother. All up disappointing. I guess they can’t hand pick their diners but they could certainly lift their game on flavour and presentation
