Disappointing meal. Menu matches the daggy decor. Staff were very friendly and engaging but made us feel a bit rushed. We had to stop a waitress removing our half finished tasting plate and our side dish didnt come at all. When we asked about it it still didnt arrive until after the main meals were finished. Glass wine was stale and sour. Steak was more gristle than meat and would have been inedible if not for the lovely mushroom sauce. Dessert was also uninspiring and just what we have at home midweek. I wanted to like this place as its close to home but unfortunately we left unimpressed.
