Beautiful garden surroundings. Nice spacious seating areas. Good variety of choices in the menu. However no drinks was listed on the menu. Cutlery was dirty, menu was printed and torn. Food took forever, my garden salad was probably the worse i’ve had. While eating, bins were getting emptied, so the smell was foul for a moment. Defs one and only experience.
Waited 15 min for food and coffee. Went to check up on the coffee’s and barista is just standing there talking. Then food and coffee’s came out out 20 min later and the eggs florentine needed a steak nife or sciccors to cut through the tuff leather bread. And were stingy on hollandaise sauce. People order eggs florentine for the runny creamy smooth sauce but the hollandaise sauce was thick like mayonaise and just drizzed on and made the meal dry.
It is pretty hard being a vegan when it comes to eating out. Most vegetarian options include cheese or eggs which I don’t eat. I chose the crispy spinach salad at Kelly’s for $15 with the option to add meat for $4. It was very unsatisfying on its own. Please may I suggest offering a side of chickpeas, pan baked potatoes, sweet potato or other delicious plant based foods as an added option. The venue itself is quirky and cozy and I enjoyed my visit… just left a tad hungry.
Had coffee and cakes. The hot kitchen was not open when we were there so no finger food available. If only they can offer more options for finger food that would have been a plus. Overall was average for me.Seems popular with the residents as many popped in for their Wed Roast Specials. I think they take phone bookings too as some tables had the reserve labels on them.
Went in for lunch on a very rainy day but was nice sitting inside. I ordered the grilled fish and salad only. Could not have the chips as they were dusted with flour. They were nice enough to put the dressing on the side for me also just in case, nice little touch. Food was nice but very over priced. Had a coffee and GF raspberry and white chocolate cupcake, which was also quite nice. Lovely service, tasty food and nice atmosphere, just a tad pricey. I paid $17 for one small coffee and 2 cupcakes. But food was GF and I did not go home unwell, no cross contamination, that’s always a bonus.
Two of us went for breakfast. Nice quite sitting areas both inside & outside. Menu got plenty of options to choose from. We tried the pouched eggs breakfast with coffee. It was efficient service & breakfast was presented well by the smiling waitress. Good spot for catching up with friends, if you are a local.
I have been here many times. The food is usually ok and coffee previously been very good too. I don’t know if they have changed their coffee staff lately, but not nice coffee recently. The garden setting is lovely and peaceful.
