When ze best friend is back in town and craves for #dimsum, you take her to the best! And it’s not where you think it is, nope not in Northbridge. I discovered #ValeChineseRestaurant last year when I went on a dimsum marathon and what really sets them apart is the usage of real and fresh ingredients.While we rate squid tentacles and chicken feet very highly , the main selling points here are steamed dumplings and tripe! All dumplings are made fresh daily (except store-bought Shanghai dumplings) and you can instantly identify the superiority in flavour and quality . Prawn is fresh and plump without the preserved jelly-like texture , pork remains bitey yet juicy due to the ideal ratio of fat and meat . Dumplings are big in sizes with generous pouches of filling and ooze personality with each bite.If you specifically love tripe cooked in ginger, this place won’t let you down ! Beef tripe is washed thoroughly to eliminate any odour and cooked to achieve a desirable chewy texture . The pieces are chunky, which feel more satisfying in the mouth, and complimented by loads of ginger .
