A local gem. Sometimes all you want is a good, old fashioned bakery. Theres nothing overly gourmet or OTT about the Carlisle Bakehouse, but everything they do is delicious and always tastes super fresh. A great place to drop in for a bacon and egg roll, fruit tart or lamington with jam and cream. Their family sized fruit tarts and apple pies are great value and always make for a lovely dessert to take along to enjoy after a meal with friends and family.

Good local value.. Been coming here for 20 years. It changed hands awhile back and the range was thinned out and in my opinion the quality lessened slightly but overall the quality is fair for the price. Good sized lamingtons, fresh bread and rolls daily, fruit flans, coconut slice, rum balls need more rum (or some?) though their taste and texture is ok and there’s a small selection of Vietnamese rolls and foods. For the price you can’t go wrong though.

Great service EVERY time, excellent good value prices, tasty pies & sausage rolls. I’ve been here at least 35 times over the past few years – if you want something a little healthier then the fresh spring rolls in the display cabinet on the RHS are also delish, but if there’s only one pack left leave it as I might be in 🙂 Fair range of sweet pastries. The takeaway curry is also pretty good. Hard to go wrong for value here!
Not overly impressed. Rice paper rolls were dry and very bland even with the dipping sauce. Steak, bacon and cheese pie was also average – flavoursome enough, but when i read steak I envision some kind of chunky meat pieces – not the case here. I am not totally turned off from returning – the food was very well priced and the lady serving was friendly and efficient. Maybe i’ll try a roll next time and change my mind about the place?
Good ol fashion bakery. I love this place, great homemade feel, try the salad rolls!! this list could go on but you’ll see. Cant say much about pies and sausage rolls, their OK but not the best iv had. Heaps better than a Brumbies or Bakers Delight Give em a try!
