A restaurant that certainly feels like a home. I ordered the Katsudon for take away $14. A bit pricey but worth it. The portion is large and tasty. There was no one else in store during (Saturday) lunch time and was just an old friendly woman running it. I’ll definitely go back there again to try their other dishes.

Went there a few months ago. The owners were friendly. The food however was so-so and very expensive. For starters we ordered their prawn gyoza. When it was served, it took us by surprise. Looks more like deep fried wonton instead of gyoza. Very petty! Small portion, peeny prawns and worst $9 spent. Ordered their sushi and it was ok :/ ramen was nothing special. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning :/

Disappointment is too weak a word to describe my experience with this place. The place is run by an old Japanese lady who hardly speaks any English. Ordering was a hassle, but the 30 minute wait was ridiculous. Especially since we were the only customers there the whole time. When the food finally arrived the Gyouza was cold, the Teriyaki chicken uncooked, and ramen wasn’t much better than the instant packs sold at most asian foods. A friend of ours later told us that a lot of the entree’s there aren’t actually made but bought from nearby Chinese Store Kongs (Albany Highway) and after taking a visit, I’m almost certain the Takoyaki sold at Kongs is the same as the one the woman microwaved for us. I know it’s a business and all but $1 per takoyaki ball, compared to 20c per takoyaki ball at Kongs… it’s quite frankly a ripoff.Oh, and don’t buy any drinks there if you do decide to eat here. I don’t know about the canned drinks, but all the bottle drinks there were expired, after reading Charlene’s post, we made sure to check the date, and the Calpis, Lamune, and Pocari were all dated back to July 2015. We tried to ask for tap water, but were refused, and ended up ordering the tea (made with boiled tap water)… which was nothing special.Overpricing and shabby food aside, what really got to me was the environment. No effort has been put into making the place presentable, and I’m surprised the business has managed to pass its health checks. During our meal we saw at least 4 small cockroaches, and when my partner pointed it out, the woman dismissed it as ‘normal’… Not going back, and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s plenty of better alternatives on Albany Highway.

we go there all the time the food is great..she is there on her own as husband took off to japan..give her a break…..all foof cooked there on the spot that’s why it takes so long…you can book a table and pre order..we do ..and when we get there is there on the table for us…….

Had sashimi, it was all frozen solid…..so gross.

Will never go there again! The food took a long time to cook, but the quality was still poor! We ordered a drink, found it’s been expired almost a year, after we noticed them, they explained that they didn’t know, and the drink has been put in the shop just few while ago….. How is this possible !?!?! After all we didn’t need to pay for the drink…. How kind …And we also ordered sashimi (raw fish) and found out it’s still frozen……
