Sausage roll was nice, a big shop with a lot of variety – it’s located in an odd part of town (as a tourist), my parents enjoyed their pies and said they would definitely return.
Popped in for a pastie and a coffee. Coffee was ok, however, the pastie was not! Pastie was just a pastie sized triangular shaped stack of puffed pastry with a teaspoon of average goopy filling! At $4.20 it was not good bang for your buck. I drove away munging on my pastie feeling ripped off!
Yummy pastries! I recently bought ‘pain au chocolat’ (chocolate croissants), danish pastry and apple scrolls on two separate occasions at the local Boatshed Market and Farmer’s Market. Having been recommended and seeing the long queues at the markets, I was keen to try. I found the pastry a nice flaky soft texture and custard filling tasty and a good quantity. The chocolate croissant was good quality and could be improved by spreading the chocolate, the way it’s done in France, instead of one solid piece. Will happily buy again.
They make the BEST apple scrolls!!! So fluffy and soft they are delicious.
