Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meal, dry noodles, flavourless fried rice and a slimy sauce on everything. Such a shame for a long running restaurant in Albany.
Food was ok. I had take away for dinner and had the chicken and sweet corn soup with spring rolls. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was good, but the spring rolls tasted like they were cooked in old oil which spoil the meal.
Well. The people are nice. But that’s about it. I wouldn’t go here for Chinese food. The omelette was basically burnt egg. Crispy noodles are basically the stuff you take out from snack packets. Not noodles at all. All the veggies are cooked the same way, with plus or minus one ingredients. They all taste the same.
Dropped by with no booking on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was busy but plenty of tables available. We were seated quickly in one of the back rooms but then it seemed that we were forgotten, once we got their attention the service was great and the food came out really quick. So much so that we commented on it.We ordered the Singapore Mei Fun and the Seafood Claypot. Both dishes were large and flavorsome. The Seafood Claypot in particular was full of fish, prawns and squid which were cooked to perfection.Worth a visit if you are wanting the western version of Chinese food.
