Been coming here for years, still make the best curry beef and really yummy fried rice, the spring rolls are to die for. Restaurant could do with modernising, decor old and uninviting.
Really bad service – had to ask four times for a table in the middle of the restaurant as they kept trying to sit us by the entrance doorway or by the toilet ( infront of a big TV) All the tables were pretty much empty and finally when I asked why We couldn’t sit in the middle of the restaurant with my family and elderly parents they gave me a lame excuse for a reservation that was 2.5 hours later! So finally they let us sit and kept staring us throughout our entire dinner like we had committed a crime, kept walking past us with the same look and pretty much made us feel that we needed to leave as soon as we put out forks down. The food was average, nothing exceptional and I wouldn’t go here again.
We went to a friends house and this was their local chinese… it was sooooooo bad. I got vegetable spring rolls, and they literally only had vermicelli noodles in them. And when I say literally I actually mean literally – not one chunk of carrot or cabbage or mushroom or any vegetable. They were stuffed full of noodles! Wtf. I got vegetable fried rice and it was a weird yellow colour (which must have been an added colour – why would you bother?) It had hardly anything in it and had no flavour. I used some of the leftover sweet and sour sauce to drown the rice because I was hungry. The meateaters had satay beef which was served on lettuce (in a plastic take away container). Er… obviously this isn’t going to work well. It had no other vegetables in it besides onion. The sweet and sour pork had these tiny little bits of meat incased in this huge amount of batter and it was overcooked/burnt. This is one of those places that I am genuinely confused about – how can people say that it is good?!? The meal was so bad, but I could tell that it would always be this bad. They were clearly stingy when it came to meat and vegetables and just try to save money by filling everything with carbs. Also, it must have a crapload of MSG in it because we were all really thirsty for about a day afterwards, and it made us feel lethargic and crappy.Sun On in Morley and Trios in Embleton are way better than this. Don’t waste your time or money. Yuck. herbivoreandhim.com
Always Great. This small place is always fantastic, tonight was no exception , we ordered and picked up we had Roast Pork , Roast Chicken a rice and a Satay Chicken … Couldn’t stop eating so good
Fairly authentic. The restaurant has all the markings of an authentic Australian/Chinese BBQ place. Ducks and pork hanging in the windows, and the seafood tank at the back. I had fried wontons and noodles, the wontons were light and crispy, and the staff put some prawn crackers in the bag as well. The noodles had a nice seasoned wok flavour.
Best pekin duck in perth. Paul
Their roast pork is to die for and the service is always friendly! The mains can sometimes be a little bland but that’s quite rare. My fav Chinese!
