Been meaning to go here for a long time but the alley way entrance was always so intimidating. Not sure what I would be walking in to haha. Good sashimi and sushi. Not the best Ive had but certainly not the worst. But a bit Pricy for what it is.

Sado Island is one of the very best restaurants in Perth.Everything is authentic and Superb.Sado salad is superb with their own dressing which they will also sell you a bottle of if you ask.Miso soup is a simple dish but THE BEST.All Sushi and Sashimi is made by Toshi the owner and chef, best in Perth and world class.Nasu Dengaku baked eggplant in Miso and sesame is amazing. The Entre outshine the Mains and we find we always order a multitude of entre and never get to mains because you need to leave room for some Salmon Ngiri and Prawn Ngiri at least.Deep fried chicken pieces are absolutely delicious. Deep fried soft shell crab is delicious. Beef tataki Gyoza everything on the Menu is reliably brilliant.I have been here maybe 40 times over the last 5 years and it’s always reliably top notch-I think because the owners Toshi and Nami are always there making sure.I always order many entre dishes as they are so exquisite.Even the rice is delicious and must be imported? You won’t taste rice elsewhere like it?ALWAYS RELIABLY BRILL!!!!

This place is close for us, so we go here often. We are greeted at the door with a smile and the waitress directs us to a table. The restaurant is normally pretty quiet, but always quite crowded. I glance at the menu, and order the same thing- the terryaki bento box. It comes with chicken, beef and fish terryaki with a side of miso soup and white rice. The beef is always extremely soft, and the terryaki sauce is flavourful. The fish is lightly battered and served with a japanese mayonnaise which is creamy and smooth. The chicken is tender and tasty with the tangy sauce and peanutty noodles.

Oh my god best Japanese food I’ve ever had, personal favourite is the teriyaki chicken with extra sauce and an entree of Gyoza. Probably the nicest teriyaki chicken I’ve had in my life, got it four years ago been going back for it ever since. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone going into Claremont. For a cheap deal most of the take away lunch menu is 50% off

The bento sets are an institution here. You can never go wrong with any of them. The Sado bento set is the best value as you can pick any entree from the menu and comes with four tasting plates of Sashimi, fish teriyaki, sweet omelette, agedashi tofu/eggplant and kara age with rice, miso soup and salad included. Finished off with a scoop of green tea ice cream.Family favourites include the beef tataki, agedashi tofu, scallops with udon and the sushi/sashimi.The best part is they serve Suntory Premium Malts – my favourite Japanese beer 🙂

In response to Davinia81. We are very sorry for our ignorance in the situation. As explained on the night, we were unsure as to whether guide dogs were exempt from the general restriction. We’ve since had an opportunity to seek clarification from a representative of the department of health. We sincerely apologise for not fully understanding the rights you and your guide dog have, and hope you can accept our apology. Toshi and Nami of Sado Island.
