We ordered medium rare steak and it’s came out medium well.. apart from that everything is perfect.. my wings are super yummy.. beers good.. staff are super friendly..
Not impressed with the food at all. Ordered two lots Fish & Chips, both were terrible. Fish was battered but very pale looking, batter was thick and gooey. Chips were dry and horrible. Food also caused bad indigestion and nausea. Overall a terrible meal and certainly not worth the money. Restaurant definitely needs more improvement in the food area. Serving staff were good but that’s about all.
We have been here a few times, and most recently it was good, but it is so hit and miss. We had a great steak dish and a classic pub pasta dish and it was nice. Although we once had undercooked chicken wings. After my most recent visit I saw that this place had a warning from the health department about its food… I dont know if it has lifted its game since then… Im not game enough to try.
The tavern setting is a bit dated and due for a revamp however the staff were friendly, service was prompt, dinner was reasonably priced and the food was actually fairly tasty.
We popped in her for a drink and a light meal after the movies. It’s the kind of pub that has a TAB attached so I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The wine was only $6 a glass and was really good. Our chicken and bacon pizza was very tasty and the service was fast. We sat outside in the beer garden which was really quite nice.
I’ve been for lunch several times in the past few months. It’s really great pub food and they have specials every night. It’s very affordable and you just get non-fancy well cooked meals – I often have the steak with Garlic Prawns….PLUS they always feature a $7 or $8 pint which is a bonus. I paid $13.50 for a pint last week at The Oxford – ? There are reviews about the service, but hey, you’re going for a pub meal, what do you expect? Grab a beer and two while you wait…perfect!! Well Done The Belmont Tavern, happy local!
Very unreliable, sometimes the food is great, other times absolutely terrible and overpriced. We come here every few weeks and the same dish can be completely different, maybe the chef/kitchen staff change frequently, but that should not affect the way the same dish is prepared. Cauliflower soup special was very average, however the burgers are always delicious. It’s obvious they have the potential to serve great pub food, but unfortunately lack consistency.
