I give a 3 because the batter is better than the one from the immediate previous owner. However, I liked the shop when it was run by a bunch of youngsters a while back (a 4.5). The chips are still yummy even though now we get less. More generous for the price than most F&C shops in Metro (I always try meat pies and F&C wherever I go).
I ran a fish & chips shop for couple of years. Sold it because it got too busy and i was expecting my 2nd child. Since then, (4yrs) once in a while i crave for good chips, grilled fish and the bits n’ bobs again. Couldnt do it. I tried this place a few months ago and it totally blew my socks off! Look at it! garnish! boxes! And its so yummy i have it 2x a week. I always get the grilled cobbler and their home made vietnamese springrolls!! its HOMEMADE. The effort to make these its not worth the price! They should charge me more! Finally my cravings r satisfied and i can eat fish and chips. My Dear neighbours! Make good choices. You seriously must try it. Pss the new owners r so friendly too. Its called Jason’s fnc now i think.
Where’s the value. Ordered the standard fish and chips, where were the chips??? Previous owners were very generous with the servings of both fish and chips, this time there was hardly any chips and the fish was overcooked. Taking my business elsewhere.
Unprofessional. One particular staff member was so incredibly rude over the phone, hung up whilst I was still speaking, went to pick order up and she continued to argue with me once I got there, about the phone call.Terrible customer service, the food business is about making people feel welcome and developing friendly customer relations, this place was the opposite, not going back ever again.
Shark to be or not to be that is the question ??. Meal (if you could call it that because after one bite of the fish – the whole meal ended up in the bin did not wish to taste disgusting twice 4 people bitterly disappointed) Ordered SharkDidn’t look like Shark, certainly didn’t taste like shark. Must have been the most undersized shark on the planet, fillets were smaller than Whiting. Dry and tasted foul. Did not appear fresh, had more of a cooked after frozen dryness. Wedge of Lemon was green (since when are lemons bright green? Telephoned to complain and was told it was school shark (no refund or other option offered)Do not waste your money or taste buds
