We had a lunch date arranged with our friends to come here and try the food out, of course. Must start by saying, read the reviews and the food type before you go visit a restaurant. I was expecting a restaurant with Cantonese/Mandarin flying all over the place and cramped sitting while eating my steaming hot congee. Walk into restaurant, oops, the food is filipino. Unfortunately because of expectations built up, I was disappointed but this review is about the food and not about me so away we go.We had a party of 5 so that was a nice big group to try more dishes. I settled for the beef rendang and the small boss had the fried fish. The rest of the party shared a fried fish, the pork sisig and congee with three combination. Please bear in mind this is Filipino cuisine so there will be differences. The rendang was soft and tears easily and not spicy to taste but it is tasty. Comes with a serve of rice and some potatoes in a claypot. The fried fish was tasty, could get a hint of lemon grass but could not identify any of the other spices. More importantly, there were no small bones! The pork sisig was very tasty but I found the chicken pate to be too salty for my palate. Congee was salted according to the Big Boss which was different from what we normally are used to unfortunately. For me, the piece de resistance was the Halo-halo. This is a dessert that looks like an ice kacang or air batu campur (ABC). Had attap chee seeds, green jelly, red beans, azuki beans, cream brulee custard (if there is such a thing) and ice cream on shaved ice. It was sweet but not over-powering as there was no addition of sugar syrup or any other syrup. Place was bustling during the lunch time that we went, good service and food came out pretty fast. All in all, it was good food and a decent serving size. I would probably suggest that if you are ordering that you request the salt be reduced as it can be overwhelming.

Lovely staff and friendly service. We really enjoyed the meat dishes. We had the sizzling chicken rice (yum), pork sisig (double yum), crispy pork belly (triple yummmmm) and palabok (err… ). If youre looking for authentic Philippine food, this is it!

We have dined here 3 times . All for lunch, and we have been really happy with the standard of food served up. Super fresh, and loads of love put into each dish. I had Pancit Bihon (combination stir fry) $10 is extremely good value and full of fresh flavours. We have also really enjoyed the combination congee, again really satisfying.$10.50 . They cook everything fresh so wait time is a little longer , but worth the wait .
