I first tried this restaurant about 15 years ago or more and it was as good back then as it is today. I used to live in the area so often got take away from here and sometimes dined in with family. The food has always been delicious and the service always good too – staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Even after moving out of this area, I come back to this place sometimes because the food is so yummy.My partner and I have been here a few times together aswell, even though we don’t live in the area. Our all time favorite dish is the honey chicken but we also love the fried rice and lots of other dishes – especially any seafood dishes. We enjoy coming here for dinner and then go to the movies at Reading Cinemas, which isn’t too far away.
Average food..a bit pissed off that they are charging $2.50/person for bringing a bday cake. So we had to pay $35 on top of the $300 bill. We could have bought another bday cake. Definitely NOT authentic Chinese food. Dont bother coming here.
Great soup. Real chicken stock brothed from chicken bones only is really delicious! I had chicken sweet corn, my partner had short soup. Simply comforting…
Fresh clean local family restaurant. Elderly & kids friendly place for good quality chinese meals, with prompt & friendly staff. Our all time favourite are boneless roast duck and satay beef, recently we tried their chilli salted squid, pepper fillet steak, and sizzling bean curd and immediately these too join our favourite list. Chilli salted squid (not store bought frozen calamari) is so yummy we even picked the onions. Pepper steak tender enough for our young and old. Bean curd has minced pork that goes well with rice. Good quality fresh food, clean restaurant , staff that welcome us like friends, what more can we ask.
Just moved in to this area, thought of giving this place a try but was disappointed . Food is below average. Ordered the roast duck and mixed vegetable with oyster sauce, duck was dry and vegetables were way overcooked. Will not recommend this place if you are looking for true authentic Chinese flavours. Look elsewhere!
Biggest disappointment. I am a huge fan of Chinese cuisine and this is not Chinese cuisine… This is sloppy, tasteless muck. I called to express my disappointment and was told I’d only be offered any compensation for my $65 take away meal if I brought it back to the restaurant full and they determined the meat was actually off. I did not want to drive all the way back for poor customer food and more terrible food. The noodles were uncooked, the ‘special’ fried rice was bland and the Szechuan chicken was szechSHIT!
