Dropped in and was surprised how good this place really is. The chicken teriyaki was so delicious had space for the Black ice cream but held off till the next visit. Yummo

I think they changed hands. The tataki (which was the best) is now just bad cut of beef swimming in soy sauce. Staff speaking Chinese (was not the case before) – definitely not coming back. Shame.

This place needs a fresh change- the place looks dull and so does the sushi train. Sushi train has very limited choices and looks uninviting. Sushi rolls are small and lacking in taste. Also had the Tempura Bento Box and Soba Noodles soup with fish fillets on the side. Tempura was cooked well and had a crispy texture to them, however the rice used isn’t proper sushi rice and lacks seasoning. Their hot food definitely tastes better than the sushi plates off the train, but overall, Japanese flavours in their food are underwhelming. What we enjoyed the most was the smooth, creamy mash potato that came as a little side dish on the Bento Box, but that just missed the whole point of going to a Japanese restaurant in the first place.

Terrible sushi experience, totally have no idea why it is getting 3.4/5. Ordered chicken katsu curry, it came out COLD, no idea why it is so hard even for them to heat up the foods when we were the only customers in the restaurant. Also, it’s called CHICKEN katsu curry for a reason BUT beefs were being served in the curry. The taste was average and the whole dish was decorated nicely with an egg and a curry puff on the side, which makes them different from the other sushi store. The sushi nigiri set was another let down too. As we were the only customer, we were expecting our foods to be served faster but we waited 15-20 mins for our sushis to be served. It’s called NIGIRI for some reason but we were served HALF nigiri and HALF rolls in a nigiri sushi set. Portion was very small, only salmons and squids were served but not even tuna, scallops and so on. The taste of the sushi rice was not strong, tasted more like plain rice, and the salmon did not taste fresh at all, more improvement is needed. I also cannot believe smoked salmon is being served together with the Alaska roll I ordered, I do not mind but please list it out on the menu so the customers are not confused and are aware of what they order because when we talk about Japanese sushi, the raw sushi is what comes out in our mind first. Other than that, customer service was okay and a bit pricey. Definitely will not come back anymore.

Disappointment. I should have noticed something was wrong when there was almost no one there on a Saturday. It took a while for the staff to attend to us when we stepped in even though there were not much to do.The menu looked interesting at first look with many different kind of dishes but i came here with mind to eat sushi so i tried the nigiri sushi set while my company tried the katsuo curry. I was expecting the nigiri set to have more nigiris since it was called nigiri set but it came with some rolls. The rice in the nigiris was very small while the rolls had way too much rice. I also noticed some small black dots on the sushis which wad not very pleasant, might have been seaweed or from other ingredients but there shouldn’t be anything black on the rice or the fish. The fish didnt feel very fresh and the most important part of the sushi the rice didn’t have much taste and felt like jasmine rice and not sushi rice. The restaurant felt very japanese so i was expecting more traditional sushis but it’s more of a infused style so don’t ecpect much traditional sushi from this place. Most depressing is that they served smoked salmon on a sushi. It was on the Alaska roll and it maybe is like that but I personally feel smoked salmon and sushi is a bad combination and it was my first time seeing smoked salmon on a sushi. Not recommended.

Small Japanese restaurant, a regular take out choice. The service is efficient and I am always left satisfied with my regular order of katsu chicken donburi.

Had takeaway, very prompt. Their beef udon was delicious 🙂 It’s bigger than the takeaway container would have you think. I’m certainly feeling very satisfied.
