Not good Japanese. I ordered a chicken katsu set meal and I suspect the chicken katsu was not freshly made very chewy. I had to ask for the miso soup that comes with the set. Also had to ask for a soya sauce dish and serviettes. Also prices were quite high. Staff not very efficient.
Had the tempura prawns and gyoza. It was like I was just drinking cooking oil. The gyoza was also mushy. There was flavour to the gyoza at least but not enough to balance out the oil. Sorry but I won’t be back.
Took the family to this tiny little Japanese restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised. Even though its super compact they manage to fit in a sushi train as well as regular tables and chairs. You can chose from the conveyor belt (dishes from $3 up to about $6) or go off the menu which has a tonne of options (teriyaki, talk, more creative sushi and sashimis). We ate a bunch of stuff from the train plus delicious yaki scallops and chicken, plus one serve of green tea ice cream and it cost less than $80. They have BYO and a bottle shop less than 20m away. In short – very good quality for a local restaurant. Check it out !
