This is a delightful setting for lunch, overlooking the vines and a small lake. You can dine on the verandah or indoors.  We did a wine tasting in the cellar door prior to lunch, having arranged a reserved table.  The wine tasting was very enjoyable – good wines and very helpful and friendly staff.  I particularly enjoyed the Shiraz Cabernet and the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – bought a few bottles.  The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful – we chose a mix of small plates which we shared.  All were delicious and went down well with a Brookwood Estate wine although I can’t remember which one.
Beautiful views while enjoying a nice lunch. You have the option of tasting the wines before you buy which is great for those who have no idea what to get. Staff are knowledgeable. Ordered the scallops for entree with the lamp rump and beef cheeks for main. Food tasted really good however needed a little more seasoning. Other than that all was great!
We were recommended Brookwood by our hotel, we were lucky to get a table as we didn’t book, wine tasting was hit and miss as the girl serving was more interested in sales then tasting which was disappointing as we would have bought wine if she had been attentive to tasting. Lunch was nice not amazing like we had been told for entree we had king prawns and chill squid the prawns were very garlic which was fine for me however the squid was over cooked, chewy and lacked seasoning, my partner ordered beef cheek which he said was nice not the best the beef it’s self was very chewy and not tender, I ordered the duck and must say I love duck the seasoning on the skin was lovely but the duck it’s self was rather bland overall not an awful meal but for 125 for two entrees and two mains it was rather steep.
Absolutely love this place. Â We had lunch here on Saturday. Â The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Â Service and knowledge at the cellar door was excellent. Â Keep up the good work people. Â We will be telling all our friends and family about you.
