This is my favourite local bakery. Croissants are buttery and fluffy. Coffee is nice. Staff are friendly and other customers are generally polite. I recommend this bakery

The French Baguette was very disappointing. Obviously no pride in their bread making. I would rate the one from Coles above this specialty bakery:((

I just added Barrett’s Bread onto my to go list last week, didn’t realise it’s located just opposite Tenth State Coffee. So when I went to TS to buy coffee and saw Barret’s, it’s like hitting two birds with one stone! They have massive selection of pastries, cakes, tarts and rolls! I loveeee tarts (good ones of course), so I bought the Lemon, Chocolate Pecan & Apple. I love the tart base, perfect texture and not too crumbly when I cut. The Lemon Tart could be tangier, but others were great (not too sweet!). Mini salmon quiche was perfect for when you’re feeling peckish. Pear Danish was good too. I almost bought too much yesterday, lucky I didn’t, hehe. Cant wait to try other stuffs next time!

Barrett’s has been providing bread to the locals for as long as I can remember. I had the Raisin Roll and a short Mac which were both nice! I’ll have to get my Xmas pudding from here. blogsbygabrielle.blogspot.com

Barrett is essentially a bakery. If you can imagine Chu Bakery being a boutique bakery, then Barrett’s would be more of a boutique on steroids kind of bakery. I’ve tried their cake (chocolate tart with pear?) and it was gorgeous. Had their chocolate croissant and it was yummy! Nevertheless, the cup of coffee which I had didn’t match their exceptional baked goods. I could not taste my coffee (I am a bitter person-pun!) as it was overly milky. It was as though I drank flavoured milk. Anyhoo-sies, as Barrett is a bakery, I will be rating them from a bakery aspect. I will not be returning for their coffee but I will definitely come back for their tarts, pastries, and bread.

Such a lovely bakery with a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, rolls and pastries. Food here is always freshly made and delicious. Everything always looks great and I can never walk out of here without getting more than one thing.

Bakery……….. bread…………….bread………………..Good bread, good coffee, love the chocolate orange brioche and the beef sausage rolls (big enough to share).
