Quick, cheap food. You basically get what you expect. Never had a problem with the sushi, which are large and filling and seemed to be made fresh every morning. Good for satisfying the munchies.
If you’re in a rush and you need cheap food, this is the place to be – the chicken katsu don never disappoints, and for $7.50 (it’s only gone up 60 cents in the 4 years I’ve been visiting) you get a rice and chicken katsu delivered to you in literally less than 3 minutes. In fact, once it came out in 33 seconds. That’s reeeeeal fast food right there.
Have been going to Nagano for a number of years. Haven’t tried everything on the menu but what I have tried I like. The chicken katsu don is my favourite and the chicken ramen is good when it’s cold out. My work also orders their sushi catering plates occasionally. The servings are usually a little more rice than I can eat but most of my friends manage their servings without a problem. They don’t have an eftpos machine so it’s cash only (similar to the other small food places on either side).
It’s Thursday night. It’s university party night in Nedlands. Except they are all in the Varsity Bar. We couldn’t take the lads in there, despite the $5.00 cheeseburger so we hightailed it to Nagano. Suffice it to say $7.50, large quantities makes for a a cheap meal. Katsu Don was the best bet.
Literal maggots in my katsu sushi that I got a few weeks ago. I noticed that the sushi was room temperature, so I was paying attention and luckily noticed a bunch of wiggling things just after taking my first bite. I received a refund, but no acknowledgement of the problem.
I’ll gladly walk all the way down Broadway to go here. The sushi is so tasty, and it’s pretty good value for money! I haven’t tried the other menu items, but in terms of sushi at least it’s great.
Good Japanese. I have a stats class at 6pm every Monday at uni this semester so always come by to grab a takeaway bento box for dinner beforehand-very tasty!! Would recommend
