Today i decided to go for a drive and check out currambine central for the 1st time. So we decided to have lunch at Oscars, we ordered 1 – entree calamari and 1 – 300g medium rare scotch fillet steak.it was very very disappointing. my steak came out medium so i sent it back n it came as rare the 2nd time.so its obvious already theres a problem.the salad was wilted and the steak was a cheap cut.frozen giant battered squid rings served with tartare sauce in a jar. The best thing on the plate was the mash potato.i really felt ripped off but i couldn’t get angry with the waiteress after she asked if everything was good as it wasnt her fault. Paying $55.80 for 1 entree and main where nothing is made fresh is ludacrisis. GOOD LUCK TOO OSCARS but you will never take my money again.

Had breakfast here yesterday for Mothers day. I had the Hangover Cure which unfortunately didn’t cure my hangover but never-the-less it wasn’t too bad. A good size for me but at a hefty price tag of $23 for what was served. My Mrs had the Peppered Avocado which was just too small, must have been half an Avocado, two slice of bread and a pinch of feta – $16, which is robbery for the portion. She left hungry to say the least. But we had not booked a table and just popped in on the off chance and they seated us straight away which was great, the young staff were really helpful and done a great job.

Returned to Oscars for the first time in a couple of years after a bad experience, and glad we did! This place has really got their act together and the food is amazing. The young waiter with dreadlocks is very friendly and attentive and owners are friendly and smiley. Will return

Steak was tough as an old boot and that’s not exaggerating. The only thing that was nice was the mash potatoes. And the old guy I assume the owner wouldn’t own up to the fact that the steak was tough as an old boot even when you could not cut it with the knife. I’ve actually never had a steak that tough ever in my 32 years of living. I’m amazed at how tough that steak was. Something i will never forget
