We stopped in for a drink while we were waiting to eat. No local beers which was disappointing however, being from SA, they had the full range of Coopers which was good to see. Have a game of pool or darts and a drink.
I would call this place your stereo typical country pub. Flat out busy because of school holidays so was waiting over an hour to get our meals. The food was very ordinary. Generous serving sizeS. The scotch fillet I had deserves a mention as it was awesome down to the side of potatoes and gravy!!
15/1/16Booked a table for 730, had to wait for table thenLine up to order food. Looked to be short staffed by at least a few people. Was told food would take half an hour which we were happy with given how busy it was. An hour later we had to enquire where our food was at and 20min later it came. Food was actually very good quality which was a pleasant surprise after the wait. Our group had steak, ribs and parmi’s and all thought there meal was great.Shout out to the bloke who appeared to be keeping everything running on the restaurant floor despite little help from others. If I could suggest anything to this venue it would be to staff the place appropriately during the holiday period PLEASE!
We dined with a fairly large group on a weeknight at the Hotel. It’s pretty standard honest pub grub. Myself and partner ordered the parmi and it was a monster. They say you can judge a pub on its parmi so I give it a tick. Chips and salad got a tick as well. All the food around the table was mostly well received barring the chicken breast which dry yet swimming in passata . It’s not a game changer but a decent pub meal with friendly service.
