Had breakfast there one morning and was amazed at the quick service and the generous portion size. Went back for lunch the following day and had the chicken caesar salad and was again blown away. Good coffee and iced coffees. Lovely staff, very attentative and friendly.

Quick summary: delightful location, fresh food, good coffee, friendly staff.Tucked down the end of Johnny Chi lane, the Shady Lane cafe is a mini oasis hidden in the middle of Broome. Â Gloriously abundant trees shade the seating area, and industrial fans strategically placed ensure a refreshing breeze. The menu has something for everyone. Â Our salad sandwiches were packed full of fresh and flavoursome salad. Â Coffee was good, but varied in strength in the two orders.Would I come back? Â Definitely, this is a divine little corner of the world to enjoy a lazy breakfast, or a wholesome lunch.
Needed a sit down and a coffee and a rest from shopping with my wife (!). Stopped in at Shady Lane Café. Didn’t eat here but I would if the occasion arose. The surroundings are very pleasant, it’s very convenient for shoppers, the service was low key but friendly and the coffee was decent.
