  It was a real surprise to find a gem like this in little Donnybrook. Let’s start with the slightly strange thing – the menu. It’s strange because there are two. Apparently, feedback from the townsfolk was that they wanted an old-fashioned Chinese take-away menu and not just the Asian fusion on offer. So, they now do both. We ordered from both menus. The highlight was the Mum’s Village Style Chicken Curry from the fusion menu – an aromatic slow-cooked sweet chicken-on-the-bone curry with potatoes. It was beautiful, with great depth of flavour in the coconut cream sauce (if a little sweet for my taste). I highly recommend it. We also had the sang choy bow, which was deconstructed, allowing you to control the distribution of the pork mince and the herbs within the lettuce cup. From the Chinese menu, we had the banquet and chose the szechuan chicken wings for entree. They were very moreish, crunchy salt & pepper wings and drumsticks. The honey chicken boasted beautiful organic chunks, though the sauce wasn’t quite right for my taste. Finally, it was the pepper beef stir fry. Again, quality ingredients and a simple flavour. The service was impeccable, though that’s not overly difficult to achieve in a large, near-empty restaurant. If you are visiting Donny, don’t miss it as it is worth slightly more than 4/5.

  Great friendly service and tasty food. Perfect restaraunt to visit for that special occasion or grab a Thai beef roll for lunch when you’re in a hurry. You will not be disappointed as these rolls are divine!

  If you love Asian food from all regions, you’ll love this. The food is delicious. Make it a go to when in Donnybrook. Service is excellent. BYO but bottleshop nearby with great choice of wine
