We LOVE Hogs Breath Mandurah!! Great food, excellent service & an awesome family atmosphere. We always feel comfortable bringing our boys here.
This Hogs Breath store lets the Hogs Breath chain down. It was so disappointing I would urge everyone to avoid this store. Plenty of other restaurants in Mandurah who care about their customers. Rude blonde waitress with a stinky attitude on the till. Particularly disappointed given I am a long term Hogs Breath customer and have frequented many Hogs Breath stores across Australia.
Went here on a Friday night for a mates b’day party. On our table there was 13 people. As it was a Friday is was very busy, and being a family style restaurant it was quite loud as well, nothing you wouldn’t expect however. The table service was ordinary as we had a trainee serving us. Probably not the best option given how big our party was. The wait staff gave us a numbering system to make service smoother, however later found out that the meals were all mixed up. Getting extra drinks was also quite a mission. It seemed like there were staff running all over the place and couldn’t keep up with the customers demand, and it didn’t help given the line at the POS machine for the wait staff to enter the orders (maybe purchase another machine?). Of the two children at our table, only one of them received their kids meal. I ordered the mega cut steak and rib combo. Ive never been a huge fan of the steaks at hogs breath, the ribs were well cooked, however the steak was over cooked. Given the price of the meal, and the service, cant see myself coming back anytime soon.

What a nightmare!Firstly, the waiter was lovely – a few hiccupsbut nothing major.The manager however….what.a.moron.My brother ordered a Steak cooked ‘Medium’, it came Medium/Well (more on the well done side) so he sent it back. $49 for a steak and you expect it cooked properly. When he sent it back with the waiter, shortly after, the manager returns to the table – WITH THE STEAK, and questions my brother. Says he can cook it more – it was already over cooked.Then accuses us of being cheap and stands at the counter openly talking about us!
If I could give it a 0/5 rating I would! My two friends and I booked a table for 3 on December 29th at 7:30pm for my birthday dinner. We arrived at 7:20pm and were in our booth seconds after. There was a fair few people in the restaurant but mainly all were eating. By 7:50pm, not even one waitress/waiter stopped by our table to ask us if we’d like to order, although 5 different staff members walked past and looked at us, sitting waiting with menus in hand. Other people got seated after us and served instantly. After getting sick of waiting, I finally caught attention of waitress Ellie and asked if after about 35 minutes of sitting someone would finally take our order- she did so instantly and was very remorseful about our wait. Our entree and drinks came out, very nice but unfortunately when our mains came out we hardly indented in our plates. I ordered a prawn and steak combo with baked potato and vegetables, what I received was a steak (60% just fat), no prawns, an overcooked potato and stale vegetables. My friend ordered a chicken parmigiana, what came out was a lump of cold chicken with tomato paste slapped on top with grated cheese – she was below satisfied and left starving. My other friend ordered a caesar salad wrap and ate half, leaving the other half because it tasted ‘off’. Never have I ever been so upset and angry with service in any establishment. As a hospitality worker myself I don’t believe in talking down establishments but this place is a complete and utter joke, not to mention a waste of money. $70 of uneaten food and not a care from any staff.
Haven’t been to Hog’s Breath Cafe for a long time now but a recent visit proved that the steak there is still very good! It was tender and melted in the mouth, I was quite surprised! The crumbed mushrooms and avocado salad was great as well! theengineereats.com
