The family and I were strolling along the street on this beautiful australia day when my peripheral vision spotted what seemed like a great deal. The cafe advertised $12 for a pizza or pasta and what a great deal we thought and given the number of customers within we figured that it was worth a shot. But alas, what came out was exactly what one would expect of a $12 pizza and pasta. The aussie pizza was rather bland but it may have been based on our beautiful wa desert if so A star for effort. The pasta required a fair amount of salt and pepper for my taste buds to start working. The staff were courteous and the ambience was great. Watching cars driving by while eating was also a great plus. After reading the other reviews we realised that maybe we should have tried the breakfast menu.
Normally I go to The Bean for a coffee but today decided to get some food as it’s been a while since I’ve had a breakfast here. Was pretty disappointed in the meals we were given though and might just stick to coffees only. I got the Vegetable Stack, when I used to get this it was amazing and I would always recommend it but sadly they’ve changed the menu, removed the potato rostis and replaced it with a piece of toast that was basically cardboard. Both mine and my boyfriend’s poached eggs had hard yolk and it was all round just disappointing.
Came here with the Father for dinner and really enjoyed it. The chicken wrap probably wasn’t going to fill me up so I got wedges too. Wedges were huge! Nicely proportioned meal. Would love to come for breakfast.
