Pleasantly surprised to find quality Japanese food in Bunbury! This place is better than many other jap restaurants in Perth. We tried a variety of entrees, sushi rolls and mains. I liked the sushi rolls the best. The skewers were okay, but nothing really special. But special mention to the owner who was really friendly. They were apologetic and cooked us another few prawn skewers because the other ones were slightly burnt and tough. This was before we had even tried the prawn skewers ourselves. Great service and the staff take pride in what they do
Popped in here for a quick bite to eat at lunch time. My partner and I shared the prawn gyoza. There were six on total and they were perfectly cooked. Steamed, then fried, piping hot and packed with flavour. Excellent value at $12. We also had the tempura vegetables. The batter was really light and the vegetables had the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness.  But at $19 this dish was way too expensive. It consisted of 6 pieces of asparagus, four or five pieces of broccoli and two pieces of capsicum. And a delightful dipping sauce. It’s the kind of dish I’d want to order again because it tasted so good but I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to because it is just too exxy. Great service here as well and nice ambiance.
